Cotton 2025 - 2026
Welcome to Cotton Class!
Spring
Our Spring topic is ‘Global Warriors’. We are looking forward to exploring how we can look after our environment this term. Through our class books we will learn about recycling and reusing items, and we will also be planting seeds and discovering how to care for them. We will have plenty of opportunities to learn through sensory exploration and play, engaging with the natural world and materials around us.
We will be celebrating different festivals from around the world, including Chinese New Year and Holi, providing many learning opportunities from discovering different Chinese zodiac animals to exploring colour in a creative, hands-on way.
This term we will continue to develop our skills and learning across the Early Years Curriculum as well as work on our own Personal Learning Goals.
It looks like it will be another busy, fun‑packed term!

Our books this term include:
We will go on an adventure with Baby Bear who reuses a cardboard box to make a rocket so that he can go and have a picnic on the moon!
We will develop our knowledge, along with Peppa and her family, about sorting and recycling household waste.
We will learn about the different materials that The Three Little Pigs used to make their houses and construct our own model houses.
