Summer 2026

This term our theme is 'Living Things'.

In Challenge we will be looking at the life cycle of plants and will be growing out own plant. We will then design and sell our own plant pots at the enterprise market.  

In Creativity we will be looking at tints and tones and mixing colours in Art and exploring fast and slow animal music in Music. 

In Community we will be learning about the Victorians in History, the difference between Cities, Towns and Villages in Geography and exploring different faiths in RE.

In Individuality we will be looking at different cultures in PSHE and appreciation in My Happy Mind. 

In English we will be reading the following books;

• The old toy room
• Jack and the beanstalk
• A little seed
• The tiny seed
• Jasper's beanstalk
• Olivers fruit salad
• Sunflower house

In Maths we are learning about reciting and ordering numbers to 20, comparing different types of charts, looking at day and time and using positional language. 

Trips

• We will be going on our life skills trip to the shop every 4 weeks.
• We will be going on a trip to Chatsworth gardens to explore the living things.
