Head Teacher Newsletter - Autumn 2025
We’ve had a truly inspiring start to this academic year, filled with exciting developments, new opportunities, and proud moments for our school community
Grand Opening of Our Sensory Room
We had the grand opening of our beautifully renovated Sensory Room, made possible by a generous donation from Mike Dudley, who ran the Beech Hall Trust Charity. His support enabled us to update the space into a stunning, immersive environment featuring hurricane tubes, colour-changing panels, a mood table, projectors, massage equipment, and a magic interactive projector. This space is a vital resource for our students, offering a calming and engaging sensory experience.

Expansion Update
We’re delighted to welcome Cotton and Merlin Class, marking the final phase of our planned expansion. While we’re still awaiting news on our satellite school, we remain hopeful and committed to growing our inclusive provision.
MUGA Pitch Opening with Joleon Lescott
We were honoured to have former professional footballer Joleon Lescott officially open our new Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) pitch. This fantastic facility is accessible to all students and supports a wide range of physical activities, promoting health, teamwork, and inclusion across the school. Just last week we had England Lacrosse join us for a whole school sporting event.
Lead Inclusion School Recognition
We are proud to share that our school has been selected as a Lead Inclusion School by the Youth Sport Trust. This prestigious recognition is awarded to just 50 schools across England for their expertise in engaging young people with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) in PE, sport, and physical activity. As a Lead Inclusion School, we will also support other schools in the region, positioning ourselves as a hub of inclusive practice.

Sixth Form Café
The Sixth Form Café continues to be a popular spot for our upper school students. It now features a new menu, an online booking system, and is open to the whole school. It’s a fantastic space for socialising, learning life skills, and enjoying delicious treats.
External Work Experience
Our external work experience placements are thriving, with exciting new opportunities at Space4Autism and Coffee Beans in Macclesfield. These placements provide invaluable real-world experience and help students build confidence and independence.
