Parents & Carers
Working in Partnership with Parents and Carers
At Park Lane School, we are committed to maintaining strong, consistent communication with families to ensure every child is supported both at home and in school. Parents and carers can expect regular updates from their child’s class teacher, either through the home-school book or email—whichever method they prefer. In addition to direct contact via telephone, text, and written letters, teachers will call if there is an urgent matter, such as an accident or concern.
Our school website acts as a central hub, offering access to termly curriculum plans, updates on whole-school events, and newsletters published each term. With parental permission, we also share class highlights and photos on Facebook to celebrate pupil achievements and school life. The Headteacher communicates important school-wide or class-specific matters through letters and messages, while the school nurse provides medical updates when necessary.
Families are also invited to engage in formal opportunities to meet with staff, including Annual Review Meetings and Parents’ Evenings. For website access, login details can be requested from the school office.
