Free School Meals

From September 2014 there are two free school meal schemes - Universal Infant Free School Meals and Income Related Free School Meals.

Universal infant free school meals

From September 2014 Central Government has introduced a new initiative to provide free school meals to all children attending Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 regardless of their parents' income levels. Should you wish your child to receive a school meal under this initiative then please contact your school as there is no requirement to register with Cheshire East Council.

Income related free school meals
If you think your child is eligible for income related free school meals please go to the following link on the Cheshire East website

https://www.cheshireeast.gov.uk/schools/school-meals/free_school_meals.aspx

or phone: 0300 123 5012 for further information and the eligibility form.

By registering for free school meals, if eligible, it ensures the school is in receipt of pupil premium which enables us to provide a range of additional support which your child may require.

All pupils, irrespective of age, can be entitled to free school meals. However pupil premium only applies to pupils aged 5 -16.

Income Related free school meals are different from the new scheme of Universal Infant Free School Meals which have been introduced for all children in Reception and Years 1 and 2.

Please contact the school office or the Head Teacher if you require further clarification or information on these Free School meal schemes.
