Silk trip to Holmes Chapel Zoo
Lesson: Understanding the World
Class: Silk Year: 2025 - 2026
Today we enjoyed a wonderful trip to Holmes Chapel Zoo. The pupils all behaved extremely well and showed great interest in their surroundings. During the morning we fed sheep, searched for hidden wallabies and laughed at the comical meerkats!
We met a pair of Kookaburras who performed a very loud, interesting song for us, some of the pupils even joined in!
After exploring the enclosures we particpated in an animal workshop, during which we stroked a guinea pig, tortoise, snake and a baby skunk!
On our way back to school we stopped at Redesmere lake to feed the ducks, and some very cheeky geese!
