European Languages Day - Spain - Cultural/Social

Lesson: Communication, Language and Listening

Class: Reception and Y1 - Silk Year: 2025 - 2026

We enjoyed a wonderful morning learning all about the Spanish culture during European Languages Day.

After listening to a Spanish welcome song, we learnt how to say Hola (hello in Spanish). We were then offered the opportunity to smell and taste Chorizo. Some of us liked it, some of us didn't!

We then watched some children performing a Flamenco dance before having a go ourselves. We accompanied our dancing with maracas, coloured scarves and sombrero hats.

Lots of learning and fun took place for all!
